Full description

A man whose body is made up of musical instruments stands on a fashionable stone veranda or public square, arm outstretched as if appealing to listeners. A monkey perches on the organ grinder strapped to his chest. Tilt's composite images of trades people made up of the tools of their trade or collectors composed of their specimens became especially popular at this time, along with scrapbooking. Figures of Fun is clearly modeled on London Cries, and the images widely appeal to readers of different ages, but its longer rhymes sometimes rely on covert sexual references and stereotypes that seem adult oriented.
