Maunoir is the Genevan oculist whose pamphlet Maria Edgeworth references in "The Bracelet of Memory" for restoring the sight of Blind Kate. Figures 1 through 14 on this page show various pupils with damage that may be treated through the surgery described in Maunoir's pamphlet, along with surgical scissors and illustrations of the incision placement. The previous page in the manual (not shown here) provides descriptions corresponding to each numbered figure.
